Jeff Bezos, founder của Amazon.com, vừa bỏ $250m ra mua Washington Post từ gia đình Graham. Đây là tiền của cá nhân Bezos chứ không phải của Amazon và theo báo chí chỉ bằng 1% tổng tài sản của Bezos. Trong bức thư gửi cho WP employee, Bezos viết:
"The paper’s duty will remain to its readers and not to the private interests of its owners. We will continue to follow the truth wherever it leads..."
